About the Interviewer

I’ve always wanted to be a storyteller, so at a you g age, I decided I wanted to work in Los Angeles and Hollywood as a writer, videographer and artist in films, TV and cartoons. I wanted nothing more than to bring grand and sweeping narratives to life, so I was dedicated to getting the best possible education to do so.

Growing up in Washington, DC, archiving and research was practically second nature; and during my high school years at the Washington Waldorf School, I excelled at Humanities. This led to getting my B.A. in film and literature at Bennington College in 2016, and my Master’s of Fine Arts at Savannah College of Art and Design in 2021 – culminating in my move to North Hollywood.

However, following the pandemic, the back to back recessions, and the many strikes, upheavals and job losses in Hollywood, I found myself getting work writing about films instead of working on them. Thankfully, this opened the door to a new opportunity—interviews. As part of my job as film reviewer and Los Angeles correspondent from CBR.com in 2021 onwards, I found myself seated across notable actors, directors, writers, producers and artists, conducting interviews.

For over two years, I honed my craft as an interviewer, and learned to love the stories of other people’s lives and experiences. It wasn’t until I was asked by my own family to interview my uncle for his 80th birthday, that I realized everyone had a remarkable story to tell—but no way to save it on their own.

This experience humbled me. Celebrities snd creatives weren’t the only people interesting enough to be archived, interviewed and remembered—my own friends, family, and neighbors had interesting lives to share.
